About Lokpath Charitable Trust
Lokpath Charitable Trust (LPCT) is a nonprofit organization established in 2017 in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. The organization operates across 25 villages in Mahoba district and 5 villages in Jhansi, serving approximately 2,500 families and 10,000 individuals.
Our Story
Founded with the vision of creating a society where every individual can lead a secure, honorable, and discrimination-free life, Lokpath Charitable Trust has grown from a small community initiative into a recognized organization working across multiple districts of Bundelkhand.
We are rooted in the belief that lasting change comes from within communities. Our work is guided by the voices of the people we serve — adolescent girls, farmers, women, the elderly, and differently-abled individuals.
Who We Work With
LPCT works with several key demographics:
- Adolescent girls (10–19 years)
- Women (20–45 years)
- Women farmers
- Elderly individuals
- Disabled and mentally challenged children
- Various laborer groups
- Students from primary to postgraduate levels
Our Key Initiatives
The organization implements programs addressing:
- Women Empowerment — Through the Azadi Kishori Manch groups, we create safe spaces for adolescent girls to explore their potential.
- Climate-Resilient Farming — Training farmers in zero-budget natural farming and sustainable agricultural practices.
- Disaster Resilience — Organizing disaster preparedness and relief activities in vulnerable communities.
- Mental Health Awareness — Supporting patients and families dealing with mental health challenges in underserved areas.
- Education Counseling — Re-enrolling out-of-school children and providing counseling to improve educational outcomes.
- Livelihood Development — Agricultural and non-agricultural entrepreneurship training for sustainable income generation.
Legal Status & Registrations
The trust holds multiple registrations that ensure transparency and credibility:
- Indian Trust Act (2017) — Registered charitable trust
- Niti Aayog — Recognized by the Government of India
- Section 12AA — Income Tax approval (2022-23 to 2026-27)
- Section 80G — Tax exemption approval for donors (2022-23 to 2026-27)
- CSR Registration — Eligible for Corporate Social Responsibility funding
